The Gaming and Leisure Association of Ireland is the representative body for licensed casino and card club operators in Ireland.
Established to represent the licensed gaming sector at a time when the industry was seeking clear legislative recognition and regulatory certainty in Ireland.
To represent the interests of Ireland's licensed casino and card club operators; to promote responsible gaming and high business standards; and to engage constructively with government, regulators, and stakeholders in the development of sound, proportionate gaming policy.
A well-regulated, professionally managed gaming sector in Ireland that enjoys public confidence, operates within a clear legislative framework, and upholds the highest standards of player protection and responsible business practice.
We hold our members and ourselves to the highest ethical standards in all dealings with regulators, government, and the public.
We champion responsible gaming as a core obligation — not a compliance checkbox — and embed it in everything we do.
We engage openly with policymakers, the media, and society, making the case for regulated gaming on the basis of evidence.
Our members operate licensed, regulated venues with trained staff, robust controls, and a commitment to best practice.
GLAI is a member-led organisation governed by a board elected by and from its membership. The board meets regularly and is responsible for strategic direction, policy positions, and the overall management of the association.
An Annual General Meeting is held each year at which members elect officers, approve accounts, and set priorities for the year ahead.
