|David Hickson – Director
David Hickson is Managing Director of the Fitzwilliam Card Club, one of the largest gaming private member clubs in Ireland. Established in 2003, it currently employs 120 people and has in excess of 50,000 members.David is also a Director and one of the founding members of the Gaming & Leisure Association of Ireland (GLAI), a trade association established in November 2005 to represent the interests of private member gaming clubs in Ireland. In his role as a Director of the Association, David has been a key driving force behind the Association’s campaign to achieve viable regulation for the sector.A graduate of Trinity College Dublin and an accountant by training, David was employed as a Financial Controller for ten years in both the public and private sectors, prior to joining the Fitzwilliam Card Club in July 2003.
Steven Merrick – Director
Steven is a Certified Civil and Commercial Mediator and received his Law degree from University College Cork (BCL 1st).
Lucy C. Cronin – Public Affairs Adviser
Lucy is a Partner of Policy Action Limited (PAL) and has a 13-year career in bringing commercial value and mitigating commercial threats to companies through harnessing of the legislative environment. Lucy brings strategic capabilities to the mix and has a proven track record in facilitation of business alliance formation.
Lucy is particularly involved in the gambling field through her work with a range of casinos, gaming companies and bingo halls, both at EU and national level, and has been instrumental in ensuring the continuance of the Irish casino sector in the face of closure threats from Government. Lucy has a BA in European Studies from Trinity College Dublin and a Masters in International Relations from the Université Libre de Bruxelles.
