For most people, gambling is an enjoyable pastime. However for a small minority, gambling can become a problem if let get out of hand. This can impair perspective leading to the loss of money, relationships, friends and sometimes even jobs.
The GLAI is committed to promoting responsible gambling at all times. It endeavours to do this by putting in place an industry code of practice which sets out key measures designed to prevent problem gambling:
- Age restrictions (strictly over-18s)
- Staff training
- Self-exclusion facility*
- Player tracking
- Responsible & appropriate advertising
*Self exclusion is an important program offered by the gambling industry for customers who recognise they have problem gambling behaviours and want to cease gambling. Click here for a copy of the Self-Exclusion Form.
